-

Kinderdance
(Ages 5-7, Kindergarten – 1st)
An hour-long class with focus on extending the ballet terminology built in Little Feet. Fall semester will be utilized to establish ballet class format: barre, center floor, jumps. Referencing Once Upon a Ballet and Royal Academy of Ballet pedagogy, this class will help dancers connect with their bodies, establish framework, build discipline and respect with their peers/teacher, and further understand musicality. During the spring semester, dancers will have a good flow of class and perform two pieces at the annual spring recital.
-

Foundations
(Ages 8-11, 2nd- 5th )
An hour-long combination class. Fall semester will focus on ballet instruction. Students will be able to understand and demonstrate several ballet terms. Spring semester will provide introductions to other forms of dance including Modern, Jazz, and Contemporary. To participate in the spring recital dancers must attend both semesters. Foundations dancers will perform 2 pieces at the spring recital: one ballet piece, and one “combo” piece, style determined by teacher.
-

Développé
(Ages 12+, middle and high school)
An hour and a half class provides extended focus for further development* of ballet technique and understanding of dance history, and additional movement styles first introduced in Foundations. This class is geared to provide dancers a bridge to post high school endeavors. Understanding several styles, building discipline and resilience, also acquiring audition strategies will be invaluable in any arena outside of Studio Relevé.
If the numbers are full in this class, a division between middle and high school may be necessary. Class format will be similar and instruction will adapt to the levels of the dancers. Dancers will perform 2 pieces for the annual spring recital. One ballet piece and one piece, style determined by the teacher.
-

Private Instruction
Private lessons can be provided to dancers in Foundations and beyond. Cost will be determined by 30, 45, or 60 minute sessions. If the dancer is interested in pointework, the teacher will determine requirements to be made prior to starting on pointe.
-
